Four-piece construction, the base in fire gilt bronze, with the central insignia and the ribbon banner in blackened silver, a piece of black velvet placed within the voided area in the centre and highlighting the Green Howard's insignia, the garter inscribed "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE", the ribbon banner below inscribed "THE PRINCESS OF WALES'S OWN YORKSHIRE REGt", the base featuring an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves backed by a seven-pointed multi-rayed star and surmounted by the Tudor crown, measuring 104.8 mm (w) x 124 mm (h), all three lugs intact, along with all five securing pins intact, three of which have small nails in place, spotting evident on some of the rays, gilt wear on the reverse, near extremely fine.
