What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A British & Foreign Sailor's Society Nelson Centennial Medal 1805-1905

Copper, obverse illustrating the port side of Lord Horatio Nelson's ship, the Victory, with "VICTORY" and the date "1905" inscribed below, on a four-pointed decorative star base, reverse inscribed "COPPER FROM NELSON'S SHIPS E.R. VII" in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "BRITISH FOREIGN SAILORS SOCIETY", 32.5 mm x 33.5 mm, contact marks on the reverse, very fine. Footnote: In 1905, the British & Foreign Sailor's Society was instrumental in the program of events for the Nelson Centennial. A fund was set up known as "The Nelson Centenary Memorial Fund" and the King, Edward VII, who took a great interest in the Society, allowed his initials, E.R. VII, to be stamped on the souvenirs. The subscribers to the fund were able to acquire medals and badges, among other items, for the donations and collections.
