Great Britain; Containing eight pages, front cover illustrating the The Most Exalted Order of the Star of India, entitled "CEREMONIAL TO BE OBSERVED AT THE CHAPTER OF THE MOST EXALTED ORDER OF THE STAR OF INDIA TO BE HELD AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE, CALCUTTA, ON WEDNESDAY, THE 25th JANUARY 1882." below, the six pages inside with subtitled sections in red ("Object of the Investiture.", "Persons who will attend the Ceremony.", "Arrangement of Seats, Etc.", "Preliminary Ceremonies.", "Opening of the Chapter.", "Investiture of the Knight Grand Commander.", "Investiture of the Knights Commanders of the Order.", "Decoration of Companions of the Order."), the text under each section in blue, the last page of text concluding "By Command of His Excellency the GRAND MASTER, C. GRANT Secretary to the Most Exalted Order of the Star of India.", each page with a white satin finish on the obverse and white cotton finish on the reverse, the back cover reversed, both sides of each page trimmed in a 8 mm wide strip of light blue satin, printed in red, blue, silver-coloured and gold-coloured inks on the first seven pages, the back cover remaining blank, the pages stitched together along the binding edge on the left side, 253 mm x 330 mm, very light soiling on the front and back covers, near extremely fine.
