What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

A First War Army 100 Ft. Field Measuring Tape - Hardshelled leather-wrapped case, originally heavily-stitched along the seam on the edge, weighing 555 grams, maker marked "JOHN RABONE & SONS BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND" in the centre on one side, date stamped "1917" on the body of the case between the maker marked centre and the brass-framed exit area for the tape, marked "100 Ft" (Feet) on the cover of the brass winder coupling, marked with the British Broad Arrow insignia above an "M" over "15" on the underside of the winder coupling near the winding post, marked "RABONE'S RIGIDA TAPE TRADE MARK" around the central disk and screw on the other side, linen cloth measuring tape marked in inches on one side and in links (approximately 20 cm apart) on the other, marked "JOHN RABONE & SONS / RIGIDA TAPE" on the links side between the "3" and "4" positions, the tape with a brass pull tab at its exposed end, measuring 142 mm in diameter x 35 mm thick, exhibiting fading on some of the gradations, separation in the stitching along the body's seam and the expected wear from active use.
