Great Britain; British Red Cross Society Medal for War Service (bronze gilt, 31.7 mm); and Royal Engineers "Wouldham" Competition Award Medal 1927 (bronze, engraver marked "PHILLIPS ALDERSHOT" on the obverse, engraved "1927" on the reverse, un-named, 32.3 mm). Very fine.
Footnote: The British Red Cross Society Medal for War Service was established in 1920 and granted to all members of the British Red Cross Society including Voluntary Aid Detachments who had performed on year of 1,000 hours voluntary service during the First World War and who did not receive any British War Medal for services rendered in respect of Red Cross war work. The Royal Engineers held an annual camp at Wouldham and held various competitions there.
