Includes:
1. Swatch of Tunic Worn by Sergeant C. Ewart, Royal Scots Greys at the Battle of Waterloo (two-pieces in wool, one in dark yellow, the other in maroon, sewn in place at the one end, measuring 250 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), exhibiting soiling, accompanied by a card explaining its origin (inscribed "Piece of the tunic worn by Sgt. C. Ewart, Royal Scots Greys at Waterloo, 18 June 1815. In the charge of the Heavy Cavalry Brigade, Sgt. Ewart captured the eagle of the 45th Regiment of the Line after cutting down the colour-bearer. He was then obliged to kill three more of the enemy who tried to prevent him from carrying off the standard. The cap badge of the Regiment recalls this feat of arms. The sergeants of the Regiment wear a small gold eagle above their chevrons in memory of Sgt. Ewart.";
2. Flask (in steel, non-magnetic, V-shaped with screw cap, marked "The Sportsman" and "16 ozs" (ounces) on the reverse, measuring 104 mm (w) x 200 mm (h) x 38.5 mm (d), exhibiting dents and surface wear);
3. King William III 1688-90 Badge (in bronze gilt, unmarked, measuring 59.8 mm (w) x 67.3 mm (h), all four prongs intact);
4. H.S.H. Princess Victoria Mary and H.R.H. George Duke of York Marriage Commemorative Medal 1893 (in white metal, engraver marked "J. MOORE" on the obverse, measuring 37.8 mm in diameter, on an Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal ribbon);
5. Edward VII and Queen Alexandra Coronation Commemorative Medal 1902 (in white metal, coded "371988" on the reverse, measuring 37.5 mm in diameter);
6. Studio Portrait Photograph (in black and white, pasted in place to a card backer, studio marked "Norman, Montreal", inscribed twice in pencil "Genrl Williams" and numbered "2314" on the reverse, measuring 63 mm (w) x 103 mm (h));
7. "Band of the 91st Highlanders, Hamilton, Canada" Postcard (colourized black and white, card stock, measuring 137 mm (w) x 88 mm (h), tears evident at the upper right).
