Bronze gilt, obverse illustrating a standing nude winged man, another nude man seated on a rock to the right, inscribed "ROYAL AIR FORCE ATHLETIC CROSS COUNTRY ASSOCIATION" below and engraver marked "PHILLIPS ALDERSHOT", reverse engraved "TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS / 1934 / 1 MILE JUNIOR RELAY RACE RUNNERS-UP" inside an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, 44.8 mm, light contact and gilt wear, near extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "F. Phillips Medallist. ALDERSHOT" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, edge wear evident on the exterior, case fine.
