An 1885 North West Canada Medal to Color Sergeant Hector Sutherland - 91st "Winnipeg" Battalion of Light Infantry; (COLOR SERGt HECTOR SUTHERLAND 91st W.L.I). Naming is engraved in large capitals. Original ribbon, light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: Color Sergeant Hector Sutherland is listed on the Medal Roll as having received the North West Canada Medal with Saskatchewan Clasp. He was 33 years of age when he was placed on the "List of Members of the Militia Force lately on Active Service in the North West, in 1885, claiming to be entitled to Grants of Land".
