3 Clasps - CAPE COLONY, ORANGE FREE STATE, TRANSVAAL (1105 CORPL: A.E. STANDEN. S.A.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Very dark patina, edge nicks, very light contact, replacement ribbon, better than very fine.

Footnote: Alfred Edward Standen was born on September 29, 1876 in England. He enlisted on May 3, 1901, naming his mother as his next-of-kin, stating that he had been a Sailor in the Navy and that he was Single. He was discharged "Unsuitable" on October 6, 1903, having served 2 years and 167 days, his character noted as "Indifferent" (Information from Ancestors South Africa).
