What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

He passed his examination for Lieut. in 1833. On 17.08.1839 he joined H.H.S. Princess Charlotte as an additional Lieut. In 1840 he served on shore during the operations on the cost of Syria, where he was present at the capture of St.Jean d'Arc. Promoted to Commander in 1846.
