What's a max bid?

Un-mounted, exceptionally dark patina on the BWM, very light contact, original ribbons, near extremely fine. Accompanied by an additional Mercantile Marine War Medal ribbon, along with the original packages for each medal (exhibiting tears) and a Card entitled "Authority to Wear War Medals for the Mercantile Marine, Awarded by H.M. The King through the Board of Trade" (named to "W.H. Oates (Dis. A No. 961813 R.S. No. 2 039240)", the naming and numbers in handwritten black ink, with authorization stamps for both medals dated "14 NOV 1919" in faded blue ink and adjoining signatures, along with two stamps from the Mercantile Marine Office (dated "14 NOV 1919" in faded blue ink) and the Board of Trade Marine Department (dated "12 APR 1926" in black ink), measuring 182 mm (w) x 127 mm (h), fold marks, lightly soiled).
