Instituted December 15 1854. A Crimea Medal, unnamed, on replacement ribbon with SEBASTOPOL clasp, heavy contact marks and bruises to rim, very dark patina, in near very fine condition.
Footnote: The Crimea Medal was established by General Order on December 15, 1854, to reward Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and other ranks of the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Marines in recognition of service in the Crimea from 1854-1856 during the Crimean War.
