What's a max bid?

WWI Victory Medal - Lieutenant Beecheno

(LIEUT. W.A. BEECHENO.). Naming is officially impressed. Light contact, gilt wear, very fine. Accompanied by a research paper (acknowledging his eligibility for the BWM and VM) and copies of a Charterhouse School Great War Dedication List and four pages from the London Gazette. Footnote: William Arthur Beecheno was born on August 13, 1897 in Valparaiso, Chile, the younger twin son of A.E. Beecheno. He was educated at Dorset House School and at Charterhouse School (from Summer Quarter 1911 to Oration Quarter 1911). During WWI, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant (139809) in the Royal Garrison Artillery on September 1, 1916, promoted to Lieutenant on March 1, 1918 and entered the French theatre six months later, on August 31st. In 1920, he is documented as having resided in London. He was recalled for WWII Active Duty as a Lieutenant, on the General List (September 17, 1939; London Gazette 5643, September 23, 1940), appointed as a Lieutenant in the Intelligence Corps (September 17, 1939; London Gazette 6064, October 18, 1940) and transferred as a Lieutenant to the Royal Army Pay Corps (December 11, 1941; London Gazette 7374, December 30, 1941), where he was appointed Paymaster (March 11, 1943; London Gazette 1182, March 12, 1943). He died in 1971 in Westrminster, London, at the age of 73. His older twin brother, 2nd Lieutenant James Herbert Beecheno, served with the 13th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps and died of his wounds near Neuville-Beaurain on October 25, 1918.
