Footnote: The Crimea Medal was established by General Order on December 15, 1854, to reward Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and other ranks of the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Marines in recognition of service in the Crimea from 1854-1856 during the Crimean War. The Baltic Medal was established in 1856 in commemoration of the Baltic campaign of the Crimean War. The Medal was awarded to the Officers, Petty Officers, Seamen, and marines of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines who served under Admiral Sir Charles Napier and Rear Admiral the Honourable R. Dundas in the campaign from 1854-1855. The Medals were issued unnamed.
