Your contract will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise will be returned to inventory if full payment is not submitted by the three (3) month deadline.

What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A parchment document with black ink stating “Know all men to whom these presents shall come that we the Honorable David Douglas one of the Senators of the College of Justice, Alexander Anderson Esquire of Kingast, John Wauchope and Warren Hastings Sands Esquire Writers to the Signet Sole members of the Pedestrian Club, having taken into our consideration the walking abilities and other talents and perfection of Captain Charles Ingliis of the Royal Nay, have found that he is qualified in every point requisite to entitled him to the situation of an Honorary member of the Club. Therefore with ye us to have made constituted and appointed as we do hereby make constituted and appoint the said Captain Charles Ingles an Honourary Member of the Pedestrian Club, with power to him to Walk Eat Drink and Sleep in the manner as fully as we can do aurelius or to the office a Member of the pedestrian club is known to belong. And I the said Warren Hastings Sands for myself, and as Secretary having full power warrant and commission from the remanent members of the said Club, have set my hand and Seal to these presents at Edinburgh the nineteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifteen years.”, a red wax seal in the lower right corner, the document is contained in a green-brown card frame, the reverse has been reinforced, the center inscribed “Commission Captain Charles Inglis 1815”, the interior document measures 300mm (w) x 260mm (h), inclusive of the frame measures 420mm (w) x 425mm (h), evident creasing, light damage to exterior frame, foxing evident on page, remains in very fine condition.
