What's a max bid?

Instituted September 6,1886 by Royal Warrant. 1911-1938 Issue. In silver gilt, a white enamelled cross, the obverse presenting a silver gilt crown on a red enamelled field surrounded by a green enamel laurel wreath, the reverse medallion features a crowned GVR cypher in Gold on a red enamelled field surrounded by a green enamel laurel wreath, worn on a silver suspension bar, measures 41.15mm (w) x 45.9mm (h), weighs 23.9 grams, small chips to enamel wreath on obverse and reverse, accompanied by an original piece of ribbon, top suspension bar missing, a lovely decoration in near extremely fine condition.

Contained in its case of issue, featuring a black leatherette case with D.S.O impressed on the exterior lid, the interior with a white silk lid bearing GARRARD & Co LTD maker maker, the base features a blue velvet recessed medalbed, measures 66mm (w) x 129mm (h) x 23mm (d), catch does not close properly, light wear to exterior and slight discolouration inside, overall in very fine condition.
