Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, residue evident in the recessed areas from cleaning on the Star and BWM, light contact, most with original ribbons, near extremely fine.
Footnote: Engineer Captain Stanley Francis Heraud, Royal Navy received the OBE for eight years' service at the Chatham Dockyard, from 1938 to 1946. He previously received the MBE for services as Chief Engineer of the Russian Battleship Volga during the Russian Civil War. Heraud was Gazetted for both awards. Before his commission as Mate, he was with the Warrior-class armoured cruiser HMS Achilles when she sank the German raider Leopard in March 1916.
