A very well-preserved edition of “British Board of Ordnance Small Arms Contractors: 1689-1840”, by De Witt Bailey. It is constructed of a glossed card stock binding, with the exterior obverse bearing a full-colour illustration of the Tower of London, circumscribed by author and title, with the reverse featuring a photograph of a rifle with a brief summary of the book’s contents. The interior content consists of 96 white paper stock pages featuring a history of the Board of Ordnance and a comprehensive index of British arms contractors. Notably, the book is autographed by Bailey on the interior title page. It was published in 1999 by W.S. Curtis Limited of Wales. It measures 216 mm (w) x 280 mm (h). Some creasing is evident to the binding, but the book is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
