What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

WWI 1916 British Officer's Compass - Brass body with glass covers, functional, 360 degree gradations on the dial, additional gradations along the circumference, adjustment knobs on the side, marked "VERNIER'S PATTERN" and "VII" on the lid, maker marked "CRUCHON & EMONS LONDON", marked "No.", dated marked "1916" and marked with the British Broad Arrow production insignia on the bottom, flip-top, with brass belt loop, 54 mm x 72.7 mm x 21 mm, crazing appearing in the reddish-brown circular plate on the bottom. In its brown leather case of issue, maker marked "MARTINS-BIRMm LIMd" and dated marked "1916" on the cap, marked with the British Broad Arrow production insignia on both the cap and base housing, maroon felt lined, 65 mm x 88 mm x 36.2 mm, with full-length neck strap and buckled strap closure, light contact, extremely fine.
