A Grand Cross sash badge, composed of silver gilt, featuring a white enamel Latin cross with a laurel wreath segment in each quadrant, the obverse center presenting a red enamel medallion with the royal cypher of George I, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed ΙΣΧΥΣ ΜΟΥΗ ΑΓΑΠΗ ΤΟΥ ΛΑΟΥ (The people’s love is my strength), the reverse is silver gilt with the dates the order was established in a ring (1915) and the years of the King’s reign 1863-1913, the badge is suspended from a large silver gilt crown, measures 46.5mm (w) x 84.5mm (h – inclusive of crown suspension), weighs 39.3 grams, enamels intact, scattered gilt wear throughout, unmarked, remains in very fine condition. The Breast Star, a silver eight points star with clusters of smooth rays, the obverse center presents a superimposed white enamel Latin cross with wreath segments in each quadrant surmounted by a large royal crown, the obverse center presenting a red enamel medallion with the royal cypher of George I, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed ΙΣΧΥΣ ΜΟΥΗ ΑΓΑΠΗ ΤΟΥ ΛΑΟΥ (The people’s love is my strength), the reverse presents a vertical pin flanked by dual stays, measures 81.3mm (w) x 80.8mm (h), weighs 77.0 grams, maker marked "ΚΕΛΑΙΔΗΣ" (Kelaidis of Athens), enamels intact, lovely patina, in extremely fine condition.
