A silver decoration presenting a white enamelled Maltese Cross with green enamelled laurel wreaths in each quadrant, the obverse centerpiece in Gold depicts a white enamelled cross on a blue enamelled field, surrounded by the inscription Η ΔΕΞΙΑ ΣΟΥ ΧΕΙΡ ΚΥΡΙΕ ΔΕΔΟΞΑΣΤΑΙ ΕΝ ΙΣXΥΙ (Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power, Exodus, 15:6), reverse center in Gold presents the right facing profile of King Otho I, surrounded by the inscription Η ΕΝ ΑΡΓΕΙ Δ´ ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ ΣΥΝΕΛΕΥΣΙΣ (The IV National Assembly of the Hellenes at Argos), the cross is surmounted by a crown suspension, marked with the left facing profile of Mercury denoting French manufacture between 1878 – 1973 for French export, measures 32.75mm (w) x 53.85mm (h – inclusive of crown suspension), weighs 15.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), on original ribbon presenting heavy wear and soiling, heavy wear and chipping to white enamelling, singular chip to reverse blue enamel ring, dark patina, overall better than fine condition.
