A pair of trench art brass shells, including a Hungarian Russian Front case, the exterior with a dimpled base overlaid by a central raised Hungarian coat of arms set within oak leaves, beneath a stylized banner bearing an etched inscription of “EMLEK OROSZORSZÁGBÓL (“I REMEMBER RUSSIA), above a date of “1943”, the base bearing calibre marks, measuring 58 mm (w) x 265 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a Slovak shell, the exterior with an exceptionally detailed dimpled base bearing raised oak leaves with an inscription of “PAMIATKA VOJNY” (“IN MEMORY OF THE WAR”), the base bearing calibre markings, measuring 62 mm (w) x 255 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
