(Magyar Szent Korona rend). Instituted in 1943. In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, date impressed "1942" on the reverse, measuring 43.3 mm x 47.7 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, one of the red enamelled beads on the centrepiece ring has been lost to time, contact marks, on its original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Holy Crown was instituted on March 17, 1943 and awarded to foreigners for services to the Hungarian state and people. It was issued in five grades: Grand Cross, Commander with Star, Commander, Officer and Knight, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze Grade Crosses.
