Hungary (Kingdom); Coronation of Franz Joseph as Emperor Commemorative Medal (silver, obverse illustrating the right-facing bust of Emperor (Kaiser) Franz Joseph I, surrounded by the inscription "I FERENCZ IÓSEF I K AVSZTRIAI CSÁSZÁR" and marked "A" below the bust, reverse illustrating the Hungarian crown above a crossed sword and ceremonial mace, surrounded by the inscription "BIZALMAM AZ ÖSI ERENYBE." above and inscribed "MAGYAR KIRÁLYÁ KORONÁZTATOTT BVDÁN MDCCCLXVII" (1867) below, 48.7 mm); and Coronation of Elisabeth of Austria as Empress Commemorative Medal (silver, obverse illustrating the left-facing bust of Empress Elisabeth, surrounded by the inscription "ERZSÉBET AVSZTRIAI CSÁSZÁRNÉ." and marked "A" below the bust, reverse illustrating the Hungarian crown, surrounded by the inscription "BOLDOGITÓ CSILLAGZAT ŐRŐMÁRJAI KŐZT" and inscribed "MAGYAR KIRÁLYNÉVÁ KORONÁZTATOTT BVDÁN MDCCCLXVII" (1867) below, 23.5 mm). Both with dark patinas, extremely fine.
