An Italian East Africa Campaign Medal - Bronze, with bronze FERT sword clasp on ribbon, 33.6mm, EF overall. Footnote: The medal was instituted on April 27, 1936 by Royal decree and awarded to all those who took part directly in the East Africa campaign, but also to those who helped to organize military operations. Afterwards, up until the Second World War, it was awarded to personnel that worked continuously in Africa.
