A rounded shield shaped badge constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears the image of a dolphin avoiding a naval mine, above is inscribed “DRAGAGGIO” (DREDGING), topped with an anchor, the reverse is plain, marked “PICCHIANI & BARLACCHI FIRENZE” and bears a vertical pinback, measuring 23.25 mm (w) x 28.08 mm (h), very fine.
