What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Includes:

1. War Merit Cross for the First World War (Croce al merito di guerra): in bronze, measuring 38 mm (w) x 38.5 mm (h);

2. Italian-Austrian War Medal 1915-1918 (Medaglia commemorativa della guerra Italo-Austriaca): in bronze, engraver marked "S, CANEVARI" and maker marked "N. NELLI. INC." on the obverse, measuring 31.8 mm (w) x 38.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension;

3. Victory Medal 1914-1919, British Issue: in bronze gilt, measuring 36.2 mm in diameter, original impressed naming on the edge has been erased;

4. Defence Medal 1939-1945, British Issue: in cupro-nickel, measuring 36 mm in diameter;

5. Medal for Italian Unification, Type II, 1848-1922: in blackened bronze, engraver marked "S.J." (Stefano Johnson of Milan) on the reverse, measuring 31 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension. Mounted to a suspension bar with posts at either end, the War Merit Cross reverse mounted and has had its original laterally-pierced ball suspension replaced by a soldered fixture, contact marks, original ribbons, very fine.
