Medal for Military Valour, Bronze Grade, Type II (1887-1943) (in bronze, measuring 15.8 mm in diameter); War Merit Cross (in bronze, measuring 15 mm (w) x 15 mm (h)); Naval Medal of Honour for Long Service (in silver, measuring 14.8 mm in diameter); Africa Campaigns Medal (in bronze, measuring 17.3 mm in diameter); Long Service Cross, Silver Grade for Twenty-Five Years' Service (in silver, measuring 14 mm (w) x 14 mm (h)); Commemorative Medal for the Libyan Campaigns (in silver, measuring 17.2 mm in diameter); Commemorative Medal for the Italian-Austria War 1915-1918 (in bronze, measuring 15.8 mm in diameter); Medal for Italian Unification, Type II (1848-1918) (in bronze, measuring 15.7 mm in diameter); and First World War Victory Commemorative Medal (in bronze, measuring 15.8 mm in diameter). The second and third awards are reverse-mounted, each with original ribbons and sewn in place to a 15 mm wide felt band, the band wrapped around a 175 mm (w) x 244 mm (h) brown cardboard panel below a vignetted black and white 120 mm (w) x 159 mm (h) photograph of the recipient, the band secured in place on the reverse by eight strands of elasticized threading, inscribed in blue ink "Gonnelli / 9 x 12" with two stamps in red ink on the reverse of the panel. Extremely fine.
