Republic: President of the Republic Award Table Medal (in frosted silver, obverse illustrating a nude man bearing a torch in his right hand, with the sun and its emanating rays in the background, engraver marked "ROMAGNOLI" (Italian sculptor Giuseppe Romagnoli, 1872-1966), maker marked and marked "986" (silver), reverse with the coat-of-arms of the Italian Republic above the two-line inscription "IL PRESIDENTE DELLA REPVBBLICA", with a branch of laurel leaves below the inscription, measuring 65.5 mm in diameter, in its black leather-wrapped hardshelled case of issue, with the Italian Republic coat-of-arms in gold-coloured ink on the lid, recessed blue felt medal bed, case measuring 88 mm (w) x 88 mm (h) x 22.5 mm (d)).
