Italy, Kingdom: First World Congress of the Aeronautical Press at Rome Medal 1935 (in silver, obverse illustrating a bird in flight, with two birds above, engraver marked "R.B." below the right wing and inscribed "EDITORIALE AERONAUTICA" (Aeronautical Editorial) below, reverse illustrating a she-wolf nursing and sheltering the infants Romulus and Remus after they were abandoned, standing upon a pedestal inscribed "ROMA" with a fasces below, inscribed in Latin "PRIMO CONGRESSO MONDIALE DELLA STAMPA AERONAUTICA" (First World Congress of the Aeronautical Press) on either side of the pedestal, an open book at the base of the pedestal inscribed "GIVGNO MCMXXXV XVII" (June 17, 1935) and backed by laurel branches, province maker marked "AG" (Agrigento) and marked "800" (silver), measuring 30.5 mm in diameter, suspended from a button hole attachment via a two-link chain); and United Kingdom: 17th (Leicestershire) Regiment "Hindoostan" Sport Medal (in bronze gilt, obverse illustrating two males running on a road through the countryside, with race observers behind the fence, a house and trees in the distance and engraver marked "PHILLIPS ALDERSHOT", reverse illustrating a tiger with a ribbon banner above inscribed "HINDOOSTAN" and inscribed in Roman numerals "XVII" (17) below, all within a circular border, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter). Extremely fine.
