In silver, obverse illustrating a facing-left portrait of Victorio Emanuele II, inscribed by his name above, the reverse with inscription CRIMEA 1855-1856, engraver's mark G. FERRARRIS, measuring 36.23 mm (w) x 41.05 mm (h - inclusive of the integral ball), light contact, accompanied by original ribbon, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Medal was instituted by Victor Emmanuel II to commemorate the Crimea War and to reward all Sardinian participants of the war who had rendered active service between 1855-1856, but not received the Queen Victoria Crimea War Medal.
