What's a max bid?

Italy, Republic. A Rare Order of the Merit of the Italian Republic, Collar, c.1970

Type I (1951 -2001). In silver gilt, a lovely collar comprising of 20 links, alternating between links featuring two hollow horizontal bars with a central five point star (each link measures 31.25mm (w) x 24.2mm (h)), connected to a floral quatrefoil (each link measuring 26.3mm (w) x 25.9mm (h)) by four small rings on the outer edge and three rings on the inner edge, all links are plain on the reverse, the central link features an RI with decorative arabesque border, connected to the collar badge, a white enamelled cross with ball finials, each quadrant presents an eagle with open wings, a five point star has been superimposed into the center, the cross is surmounted by a large crown with delicately etched lines and small green, white and red enamelled detail, reverse mirrors the obverse, measures 57.0mm (w) x 75.8mm (h), the link opposite the badge presents two horizontal hooks on the reverse to allow the collar to open and close, the reverse of this link is marked 925 the collar weighs 126.4 grams, enamels intact, an extremely rare collar in extremely fine condition.
