A Grand Officer Set, presenting a white enamelled cross with delicate knots between each quadrant, the obverse medallion features an Italian crown on a blue enamelled field, surrounded by a Gold ring, the reverse medallion presents a black enamelled crowned eagle, the badge measures 50.1mm (w) x 53.6mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 17.5 grams, worn on a full length neck ribbon, center medallion loose, enamels intact, in very fine condition.
Accompanied by the Grand Officer Star, a silver eight point star with large faceted ball finials and faceted rays, the obverse center presents a superimposed white enamel cross with delicate knots between each quadrant, the obverse medallion features an Italian crown on a blue enamelled field, surrounded by a Gold ring, reverse bears a single vertical pin, measures 71.1mm (w) x 70.1mm (h), weighs 50.8 grams, oxidation to tips of rays, in very fine condition.
Contained in a red case by E. Gardino Succ. D. Cravanzola Gioielliere Roma, presenting a red exterior with crowned VE cypher on lid, the interior shows a crème coloured lid with makers mark, and black velvet recessed medalbed, notable wear to exterior, hinge and clasp functional, in near very fine condition. Note that the accompanying star does not fit properly into grooves for pin.
