Italy, Kingdom. A Fascist-Period Air Force Trophy, c. 1930

A Fascist-Period Air Force Trophy, consisting of a chromed non-ferrous metal bowl with a serrated edge. The bowl is mounted on a finely-detailed national eagle, itself perched on a rounded base. It is in turn affixed to a wooden pedestal, with the bottom retaining an original nut and washer. Fully unmarked, the eagle measures 245 mm from wingtip to wingtip, with an overall height of 116 mm (h). Some oxidation and loss of finish is evident to the medal features, with similar, age-appropriate wear to the wooden pedestal. It is in an overall very fine condition. A very rare Italian Air Force trophy!
