What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

This bayonet features a 232 mm blackened steel blade, magnetic, with a very sharp edge and a dull tip, the fuller running almost the full length of the bayonet on both sides, marked "BV" on the obverse ricasso and "BRESCIA" within an oval border on the reverse ricasso, measuring 232 mm in length. The blade is embedded into the heavy steel crossguard that is designed with a ring at one end for placement upon the barrel of a rifle, the other end without a prominent quillon, the crossguard stamped with a symbol in front of "923", with wooden plates embedded onto either side of the handle to from the grip and held in place via two large rivets, the steel pommel with knob and slotted to receive the rifle, stamped with a "4" on the obverse, the bayonet measuring 360 mm in length overall. The bayonet is housed in its black leather scabbard, emboss stamped "TERNI 1886" on the obverse, the locket in brass which is marked "MC" within a recessed oval on the obverse, with a frog stud secured in place via a single screw on the reverse, the chape in a magnetic steel in a snub-nosed style and secured in place via two rivets, the scabbard measuring 262 mm in length. The blade exhibits scratches overall, common to extraction and return to the scabbard, along with some surface wear, two notches evident on the wooden plates forming the grip on the obverse, the leather on the scabbard generally intact, with contact marks and dents visible on both the locket and chape. Fine.
