In 18k Gold, a knights cross presenting a white enamelled cross pattee, the obverse medallion features the crowned cypher of Wilhelm II King of the Netherlands on a green enamelled field, reverse is mirrored, measures 35.6mm (w) x 38.7mm (h – inclusive of integral ball), weighs 12.2 grams (including ribbon), worn on original ribbon, medallions have been reaffixed and are off center, reverse medallion presents wear to the green enamels and large chip to the tip of the 12 o’clock arm, near very fine condition.
Footnote: The Order of the Oak Crown was established by Wilhelm II King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg by Grand Ducal Decree on December 29, 1841. It is the oldest Order in Luxembourg.
