A Rare 1912-1913 Montenegrin Red Cross Order for the Balkans Wars - Type I; Silver and enamels, French-made, 32.7 mm x 55 mm inclusive of its crown suspension, on its original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, gilt coat-of-arms of Montenegro on the lid, maker marked "G. LEMAITRE" on the inside lid, black velvet medal bed, wear in the fabric overlying the hinged-area, lightly scuffed exterior, case better than very fine. Footnote: Only 220 of this medal were issued.
