Footnote: The Sharpshooter Proficiency Badge was instituted in 1924 and until 1945, came in three classes: I Class Gold Grade, II Class Silver Grade and III Class Bronze Grade. These were instituted during the reign of King Haakon VII (1905-1957) and were strictly awarded to members of the Norwegian Army.
