In silver gilt, a white enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, crowned Os in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents a superimposed rampant lion on a red enamelled disc surrounded by a white-blue-white ring, the reverse presents the inscription RET OG SANDHED on a red enamelled disc surrounded by a white-blue-white ring, the cross is surmounted by crown with white, red and blue details, measures 61.0mm (w) x 87.6mm (h), weighs 69.8 grams, marked TOSTRUP 925S on the ring denoting manufacture by Tostrup and 925 silver fineness, gilt wear on the arms, worn on a full length neck ribbon, enamels intact, remains in extremely fine condition.
Contained in its original hardshell case of issue, a brown leatherette exterior marked DEN KGL. NORSKE S. OLAVS ORDEN with a central crown, the interior with a white silk lid marked TOSTRUP, and a removable red velvet recessed medal bed in the base, measures 90mm (w) x 150mm (l) x 37mm (d), hinge and clasp functional, little to no wear, in extremely fine condition.
