In Gold, a white enamel Maltese Cross with ball finials, a crowned O in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features a rampant lion holding an axe on a red enamel field with a white, blue, white ring exterior, the reverse medallion presents the inscription RET OG SANDHED, the cross is surmounted by a crown with white, red, and blue enamel features, measures 61.2mm (w) x 87.4mm (h – inclusive of surmounting crown), weighs 39.0 grams (including ribbon), worn on a loop marked J. TOSTRUP OSLO 750, connected to a segment of neck ribbon, enamels intact, a lovely decoration in near mint condition.
Contained in its case of issue, a dark red leatherette exterior, the interior lid marked J. TOSTRUP ORDENSJUVELER OSLO, the base features a removable red velvet medal bed, with storage component for ribbon below, measures 85mm (w) x 43mm (l) x 35mm (d), scuffs to exterior around corners and on lid, hinge and catch functional, a case in near extremely fine condition.
