Poland. A English Made Red Cross Medal with Case by Spink
Description: Two-piece construction, silver with red enamels, engraved "P.C.K." (Polish Red Cross) and "Zasludze" (Service) on the reverse, 34.5 mm x 36.2 mm, original ribbon with pinback, intact enamels, near mint. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "SPINK & SON Ltd LONDON" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, case near extremely fine. Footnote: The medal was established in 1923 and authorized for wear on military uniforms. It was awarded to military and civilian personnel for meritorious service to the national red cross organization.
