2nd Polish Army Corps, Officer's Sleeve Badge (in white and gray embroidery, on a red felt base, white cotton mesh backer, measuring 40 mm (w) x 49 mm (h)); and British 8th Army Sleeve Badge (which was worn by all ranks after the Battle of Monte Cassino, two-piece construction, white cotton shield with the cross in rolled gold-coloured bullion wire, the outer framework of the shield in rolled silvered bullion wire, the shield sewn in place to a rectangular-shaped black felt base, white cotton mesh backer, measuring 41 mm (w) x 50 mm (h)). Paper and glue residue evident on the reverse of both badges from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The 2nd Polish Corps was established in 1944. The British 8th Army badge was awarded to all Polish units which participated in the Battle for Monte Cassino in 1944.
