What's a max bid?

Commander's Cross: silver gilt with red and white enamels, 43 mm x 65.5 mm, on its original full-length neck ribbon; and Officer's Cross: silver gilt with red and white enamels, 25.3 mm x 37.3 mm, rosette mounted to a clasp, on its original ribbon. Intact enamels, scattered gilt wear on both pieces, near extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, Portuguese coat-of-arms flanked by an "R." at the left and a "P." at the right (Republica Portuguesa) on the lid, maker marled "FREDERICO COSTA, LDA. LISBOA" on the inside lid, recessed and slotted medal bed, card inserted in the recessed medal bed inscribed in black ink "VASCO FUTSCHER PEREIRA / Ministro Conselheiro da Embaixada de Portugal / Madrid", lightly scuffed and soiled exterior, case
