Grand Cross: multi-piece construction, silver gilt with white and blue enamels, center applique in Gold, 63 mm x 88 mm inclusive of its crown suspension, on a full-length sash, silver insert missing on one of the nine stars on one side, chipping and repair evident in the white enamels on the other side; and Breast Star: multi-piece construction, silver gilt and enamels, maker marked "FREDERICO G. DA COSTA LISBOA" on the reverse cartouche, 77.5 mm x 97.7 mm, vertical pinback, repair evident in the blue enamels and crazing on the white enamelled arms of the star. Very fine.
