A circular medal in silver gilt, with obverse depicting a facing effigy of the Portuguese Republic, circumscribed by the inscription REPUBLICA PORTUGUEZA 1910 (Portuguese Republic), the reverse inscribed MEDALHA MILITAR COMPORTAMENTO EXEMPLAR (Military Medal, Exemplary Conduct) within a laurel wreath, suspended by a typical Portuguese elongated loop suspension with pin, marked by J. Sergio, measuring 34.65 mm (w) x 37.15 mm (h - including integral pin), presenting lost of gilt and minor wear edges, accompanied by original breast ribbon, near to mint.
Footnote: The Exemplary Conduct Medal is awarded to Portuguese military personnel in recognition of exemplary moral conduct, loyalty, and spirit over a long military career. The Gold Medal was awarded in recognition of 30 years of service during the Republic.
