In bronze gilt with navy blue and white enamels, obverse centrepiece illustrating a shield bearing the monogram on King Michael I, identifying this as the type II version, as type I has the monogram of King Carol II, the reverse bearing the establishment of the award date of "1930", measuring 42.5 mm (w) x 50.3 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, intact enamels, on its original war ribbon with hook and eye, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Aeronautical Virtue was instituted on July 31, 1930 and was awarded for acts of bravery or valour in the air, in four grades: Commander, Officer, Knight and a Golden Cross, in Civil or Military Divisions.
