A Romanian Order of Agricultural Merit; Grand Officer’s Set - By Czechoslovakian maker Karnet & Kysely, Prague, comprising: Star, in silver, silver gilt and enamels, 53.10mm(width) x 52.85mm(height), maker marked on reverse KK (Karnet & Kysely, Prague) along with silver hallmark (900), and an export hallmark; neck cross, in silver gilt and enamels, 50.23mm(width) x 56.5mm(height), suspension ring marked KK (Karnet & Kysely, Prague) along with silver hallmark (900), and an export hallmark (without neck ribbon); set of excellent quality manufacture, in slightly worn condition, near mint. Footnote: this order was established in April of 1932 by King Carol II, and was awarded for Merit in field of agriculture; Grand Officer was the highest grade and seldom awarded, approximately 50 Grand Officer’s sets awarded in total.
