What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A group of six Romanian badges and medals, including a Medal for Commercial and Industrial Merit, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Carol I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “MERITUL COMERCIAL ȘI INDUSTRIAL” (“COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL MERIT”), unmarked, measuring 31.69 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a Medal for Manhood and Faith with Swords in Bronze, constructed of bronze, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Carol I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “BĂRBĂTIE SI CREDINTĂ” (“MANHOOD AND FAITH”), topped by crossed swords with a suspension ring and period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 35.08 mm (w) x 47.51 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a Medal for Manhood and Faith with Swords in Silver, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Carol I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “BĂRBĂTIE SI CREDINTĂ” (“MANHOOD AND FAITH”), topped by crossed swords with a suspension ring and period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.38 mm (w) x 47.32 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a King Carol I 40th Jubilee Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Carol I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a Romanian coat of arms above dates “1866-1906”, unmarked measuring 31.30 mm (w) x 42.29 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and ; a 25-Year Service Cross, constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with a gilt royal monogram topped by a crown, the reverse with a number of “25” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 39.65 mm (w) x 39.79 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
