A silver badge constructed in the shape of a shield topped by a royal crown, the obverse presents the monogram for Carol II surrounded by oak leaves, a miniature coat of arms for Romania, and various heraldic symbols, an eagle, the inscription “R.82.I” for 82nd Infantry Regiment, and the Roman numeral “VII” (possibly for 7th Company or 7 years of service), the reverse shows a vertical pin, hinge, and clasp, hallmark “900” and crown, maker mark “HW” for Heinrich Weiss, measures 40 mm (w) x 56 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.
