In silver gilt with red and white enamels, Romanian crown on the obverse centrepiece, maker marked and medal content marked "JRF ARG." (Joseph Resch Fils, Bucharest; Argint = Silver) on the reverse of the loop, measuring 61.5 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), intact enamels, on an original shortened civil division neck ribbon, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Crown of Romania is a chivalric order established on March 14, 1881 by King Carol I of Romania, to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Romania. It was awarded as a state order until the end of the Romanian monarchy in 1947 and was revived on December 30, 2011 as a dynastic order. The order had five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
